It's a fun day, because we're moving on to the kids spaces in the Calabasas Remodel! We love doing a kids room because you don't have to play it safe. Have fun with the design and don't be afraid to be whimsical! You can incorporate color and patterns, and have fun with it. We love when our clients love wallpaper as much as us, so this part of the home turned out really cute!!

Our client has two twin girls that each got to pick their own wallpaper. We put it in their bedrooms, bathroom, and ceiling of the playroom. In the first bedroom we started with a classic spindle bed that will never go out of style, but paired a more unique rattan side table. The lamps have a cool, "granny" shape that just works. We tied it all together with a long vintage lumbar on the bed that brings in some much needed pink.

The bathroom is just..... cute! With pink and white wallpaper, brass fixtures, and a lucite mirror, the modern light brings a grown-up, elevated feel to the whimsical space.

The playroom pushed us creatively. Normally we're inclined to pull back with color, but not here! With pink, orange, blue and green, it makes for a space that encourages make believe and creativity. We filled a day bed with cozy, patterned pillows and used a custom ottoman.

We love a floor lamp that's versatile and has a classic design, but with a twist. The triple arm feature is a fun way to liven up this area and bring character in a kids' room. The artwork is imaginative and playful, but sophisticated, so you're not disrupting the rest of your home's style for one play space.

They're going to need all the storage they can get, so this basket is great!

We also needed a space for thee kids to create art. We put a simple table and chairs, but added in a chalkboard piece. Our clients originally wanted a chalkboard wall, but it didn't work with the layout so we created this custom chalkboard as a focal point. You can't forget the wavy wallpaper we put on the ceiling. It's all in the details!

The swan bedroom! The colors are more subdued, so the brass lamps stand out against wallpaper. We played off the round lamps by placing a juju hat above the bed. It was a much needed focal point, as the lower head board and tall ceilings created a lot of open space.

The vintage textiles, mud cloth and batik aren't obvious choices for a kids room but they elevate the design.

We're loving this moment. A classic drawer and soothing artwork is juxtaposed by this artwork that almost glows, it's so bright!

This powder bathroom has scalloped tile that inspired the curve shape in mirror and sconces. This vintage painting has been sitting at the office ready to be used, and we were finally able to use it above the toilet!
